Minister Todd expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his contributions to the strengthening of the partnership between Guyana and Chile. Ambassador Valenzuela noted Guyana’s leadership within the region, and expressed his deep appreciation to be able to represent Chile in Guyana.

In closing, Minister Todd stated that Guyana will continue to build on the collaboration with Chile to advance its Foreign Policy Agenda, particularly in energy, food, and climate security.

Guyana and Chile established diplomatic relations on July 22,1971, and have maintained friendly bilateral and multilateral relations.
