Emergency Certificates are issued for DIRECT ONE-WAY TRAVEL TO GUYANA ONLY based on the following conditions:
- An emergency situation requires your presence.
- Your current passport has or is about to be expired
Documents Required:
- Proof of Guyanese citizenship
- Copy of expired/lost/damaged passport Biodata page
- Valid photo ID
- One (1) recent photograph
- Confirmed travel itinerary
- Payment of $36 which can be paid by Debit/Credit Card or Money Order payable to “Embassy of Guyana-Washington D.C.”
Travelers are reminded that the Emergency Certificate is NOT accepted by all airlines. It is therefore advisable to seek confirmation before the ticket is purchased.
