His Excellency President Dr Irfaan Ali met with the President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Ilan Goldfajn, on the sidelines of the European Union-Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (EU-CELAC) Summit 2023 in Brussels, Belgium.

The topics of discussion centred on the exploration of potential investment prospects in various fields, including infrastructure, technical support, agriculture, and climate financing, among others.

Senior Minister within the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance, the Honourable Dr Ashni Singh, was also at the meeting.
